Sentinel is a game. It is an alternate-reality game: a work of fiction told partly through websites, messages and documents that are made to look like ordinary ones. Nothing in it is a real intelligence operation, and no part of it is a real recruitment process.
The organisations, people, documents and websites you encounter through Sentinel are invented. Any website we publish as part of the story is a prop. It carries a marker in its page source and a notice like this one, and it is excluded from search indexing.
We do not make claims about real people, businesses or events, and we will not ask you to involve anyone who has not chosen to play.
Typing “pause the game” anywhere the game talks to you stops it immediately: the fiction drops, everything pauses, and you are offered a way to reach a person. There is a button for the same thing on the playable pages. Using it is never penalised and never becomes part of the story.
Sentinel is for players aged 17 and over.
